Everest Students Create "Grease" Music Video
On the first day of classes the nursing students at Everest - Anaheim watch videos made by the school's past graduating classes.
The videos are typically done as photo montages that capture the students in various activities from their first day in class through the end of the program.
When new students watch the videos, they know the day will come when they will create their own masterpiece.
The videos are created as part of the program for the final pinning ceremony; a traditional nursing celebration symbolizing the transition from student to nurse practitioner.
The September '07 graduating class decided to take a different spin on the video. Instead of a photo montage, they decided to recreate their own version of the movie Grease.
Their video has been such a hit that they decided to post it on YouTube, and it has received thousands of plays.
"The video is a huge inspiration for all incoming students," says Cassie Page Zalewski, Campus Nursing Director.
"It shows the bond that develops between the students. For the graduates, it is a chance to reminisce on their successes in the program."
