Everest Students Donate $2,250 to the American Cancer Society
Everest University's Orange Park Campus participated in the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk in September 2007.
Of all the teams entered, the team, consisting of employees and students, raised the most money for the walk – $2,250!
The funds were presented to the American Cancer Society on November 5th as part of the Everest University name change festivities.
The money will help fund breast cancer research, as well as up-to-date prevention and early detection information dissemination.
"Our school has participated in this event for many years and we were ecstatic to have raised so much money for the event," stated Bruce Jones, President Everest- Orange Park Campus.
"This ceremony was a great addition to our name change festivities and we are excited to participate again next year."
