Everest Instructor Regensburger Published in Journal of Criminal Law and Criminology

Derek Regensburger, Legal Studies Instructor at Everest College in Thornton, Colorado, recently published an article in the Journal of Criminal Law and Criminology (Volume 97, Number 4, Summer 2008).

The journal is published by Northwestern University School of Law, Chicago, Illinois.

Derek's article addresses the current challenges that courts face in applying the Fourth Amendment of the Constitution, which guarantees freedom from unlawful search and seizure, to new technology such as records kept on personal computers.

The article is entitled Bytes, BALCO, and Barry Bonds: An Exploration of the Law Concerning the Search and Seizure of Computer Files and an Analysis of the Ninth Circuit’s Decision in United States v. Comprehensive Drug Testing, Inc.

If you are interested in a full copy of the article, please contact Derek or Geary Gorup, Everest Thornton’s Legal Studies Program Chair.

We are very proud of Derek and his work in the field.
