Why You Should Fail - 4 Reasons Why Mistakes Are Okay

Most people don't like failure.

After all, failure means that you didn't accomplish a specific goal.

However, failure is part of life -- and it's a valuable way for us to learn.

Here are 4 reasons why you should celebrate your mistakes:

1. Mistakes only happen when you're working on a goal.
Everyone should be setting goals for themselves - whether it's daily, monthly, or yearly.   And you should set high goals for yourself -- that cause you to stretch and grow.  People who don't fail -- are not setting high enough goals for themselves -- or possibly not setting any goals at all.  So be happy when you fail because you're trying to achieve a high goal, which is something we all should be doing.

2. Mistakes reveal that you're taking risks.
You should reward yourself for taking risks -- and don't punish yourself when you fail.  You see, mistakes for taking a risk will happen.  The key to moving on is to acknowledge the mistake you made -- and to try not to do it again.  If you're learning from your mistakes, you're on the right path.

3. Mistakes are an opportunity to learn.
You should be making mistakes often--and trying to learn from each one.  If you're not failing,  you're not taking enough risks -- or not setting hard enough goals.  You'll learn much more from your mistakes than you're successes.

4. Mistakes prove that you're human.
Nobody is perfect, and everybody makes mistakes.  We need to realize that, and focus on moving on after we make an error.   Don't dwell on your mistake because it's time wasted.  Instead, realize that mistakes are inevitable as you're working on goals -- and keep going.

Remember: you'll learn more from your failures than your successes.
