Massage Therapy students at the Everest Tigard campus volunteered at Camp Agape Northwest. The camp provides fun and relaxation to children with cancer. Students participated by giving chair massages during “spa day”.
The event was coordinated by massage instructor, Bryan Jackson, he had over 50 students sign up to participate but only had room for 11 due to lack of time and volume.
The students thoroughly enjoyed the experience and saw the importance and power of positive touch. The children enjoyed it too. The children had great things to say about the therapists such as, "Great job! The massage was fantastic. The relaxation techniques were the best!" and, "The student massage therapist was fabulous! I loved the entire massage and she was attentive to the pressure she was applying. Thanks so much for coming to Camp Agape!"
Thanks to our students and faculty for helping out the local community and the children that are in great need of pampering.
