Everest University, Pompano Beach, was recently awarded the U. S. Department of Commerce Export Achievement Certificate.
This certificate, given annually since 2000 to about 40 honorees, recognizes companies that are business clients of the Commerce Department’s U.S. Commercial Service, and have used the organization’s services to make their first export sale or open new foreign markets.
The award for Everest University’s Pompano Beach campus is unusual because, instead of a traditional product or goods, it recognizes outstanding achievement of student education opportunities between the campus and China.
Everest University, Pompano Beach, was chosen for the honor after signing an agreement with its first Asian partner, the Nanjing College of Chemical Technology, located in Eastern China. Under the terms of the agreement, students who earn an associates degree in Hospitality Management at Nanjing College can choose to study for their Bachelor of Science degree at Everest.
