RHVAC Schools – Training at Everest Institute

Residential Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (RHVAC) Technicians get a lot done every day.
Their job is to make sure indoor temperature and air quality systems are up and running smoothly. Getting a job in this field usually begins with technical training because of the hi-tech nature of many of today’s RHVAC systems.
Truth is, the need for heating and air-conditioning exists everywhere. In many parts of the country, residents would freeze without heating in the Winter, and suffer from heat exhaustion in the summer without the proper cooling systems in place. Cooling and heating devices help to regulate the temperature in an endless variety of settings.
There are not many dull moments in a work day for an RHVAC technician. Technicians have the task of making repairs, and maintaining and installing the millions of heating, air-conditioning, and refrigeration units scattered throughout the country. This means that a technician must be skilled at identifying problems, and making the recommended repairs on a system.
Most RHVAC techs choose a specialization, but are typically trained to work in installation and/or maintenance.
Here are a few classes offered to RHVAC students at Everest:
- Basic Electricity and Electrical Theory
- Basic Refrigeration Theory
- Air Conditioning Systems
- Gas Heating Systems
- Air Distribution Systems and Sheet Metal Fabrication
