Athletes in the Foster Grant Ironman Competition swam 1.2 miles, biked 56 miles and ran 13.1 miles, each hoping to win the Ironman World Championship on November 8 in Clearwater Beach, FL.
Behind the scenes, the Everest Largo Massage Therapy Event Team gave massages to 74 of the triathletes, helping them work through the pain and pursue their race goals.
This was the third year the 20-member massage therapy team has provided service at the Clearwater competition. Everest Largo plans to continue its collaboration with the Florida State Massage Therapy Association, standing ready for athletes at the St. Anthony's Triathlon in St. Petersburg in April and at the next local Ironman event.
