The Everest College - Houston Hobby campus was severely damaged by Hurricane Ike last September -- which closed down the school.
"Hurricane Ike may have dampened our spirits for a while, but the leadership of the Hobby campus under president Bobby Wilmore, employees and students eventually won the day and the sun is out once again," said Dom Montalvo, RVP, Everest South/Texas Region.
The campus officially reopened this month, and campus staff and students celebrated with games, cake, balloons, and a live radio remote.
Students also signed a commemorative poster that will be framed and hung at the campus acknowledging their fortitude.
