Southfield Campus Offering Dental Assisting Education

You probably didn’t know that it only takes less than a year to train for a Dental Assisting career.

Well, it’s quick if you know the right type of college to attend.

A typical short-term dental assisting program at our Everest College Southfield campus includes training in:

  • Dental Office Emergencies
  • Dental Radiography
  • Dental Specialties
  • Operatory Dentistry
  • Laboratory Procedures
  • Dental Anatomy and Orthodontics

And you'll take all these courses in about 9 months.
What makes Everest College’s dental assisting program great is that the education is focused on hands-on training. You see, students don’t just sit in a chair and listen to a lecture -- they actually learn by working on fake teeth under the direction of their instructor.

And it's through this hands-on approach that Everest students learn quickly -- and gain the confidence and skills to start working in this exciting career field upon graduation.

Dental Assisting students will also take part in a job externship at the end of their program. The Dental Assisting externship gives students a chance to practice their skills on the job. This means they get course credit for actually working in a dental office. And the best part is that Everest College sets up the externship for you.To learn more about starting your career in dental assisting, contact our campus today.
