Medical Administrative Assistant Program Now At Everest College – Tysons Corner

MCLEAN, Va. – (September 16, 2010) – Everest College – Tysons Corner announced that it has added medical administrative assistant program to its course offering. The school has begun enrolling students in the program, which takes approximately eight months to complete.
The program provides students with the tools and basic knowledge to be a medical administrative assistant. Through instruction and hands-on training, students learn accounting functions essential to a medical environment, patient record set up and maintenance, filing and record keeping, basic coding with CPT and ICD-9 codes, preparation and processing insurance claims, dictation and transcription, correspondence and mail processing, and computerized practice management.
“Our goal with the addition of the medical administrative assistant program is to serve the communities and improve the health of its residents,” said Sheryl Delozier, Tysons Corner campus president. “As with our other programs, we maintain small class sizes and provide students with individualized attention from our faculty. We are pleased to offer this important, in-demand program to our students and the community we serve.”
