Whether you are a high school student, an Everest student, or an Ivy League graduate, learning the skills needed to successfully manage yourself, your career and your life are essential if success at anything is to be realized.
Positive thinking is the first challenge to overcome. How we process information and experiences often determines how and what we think. And what we think is essentially what we live.
Here are several ways to stay on top of the self-management process:
1. Keep the thought of success foremost in your mind. No matter what your life appears to be like, always keep your image of success firmly embedded in your thoughts.
2. Eliminate exaggerated fears. This is harder said than done! Never allow obstacles form in your imagination. This, more than anything, can deter you from achieving your dreams.
3. Never become overly impressed by others. No matter how dynamic or successful someone else may seem, he or she may have made it by overcoming one or more of the obstacles you may be facing. You can achieve your goals if you set your mind to it.
4. Make efficient use of your time. The secret of transforming thoughts into reality is not as difficult as most people think. It requires ACTION.
